A Tool Lanyard is a tether that is designed to act as an intermediate device between the tool or object and the anchor point. They allow a tool to be used whilst maintaining a direct connection that will arrest the fall if they are accidentally dropped in use. A properly tethered tool ensures the safety of those working around and below you, improves efficiency simply by ensuring that tools are handy and accessible and protects your tools by preventing impact damage when dropped.

3kg load-rated Tool lanyard made from elasticated webbing with Choke cord for attaching tools or objects or for wearing on the users wrist when working with hand-tools.
A swivel double action karabiner helps to avoid twists when attached to rotating tools eg screwdrivers or pliers. This Tool Lanyard is suitable to use with tools that have a captive handle/eye or to choke around/attach to retro fit tool attachments.

FALL DISTANCE
If the tool or object connected to this Tool Lanyard is dropped it will be allowed to free fall 1250mm so the user needs to ensure that there is no one working inside the fall distance. When unstressed the working length is 900mm.

SERIAL NUMBER
This Tool Lanyard carriers a unique serial number for traceability and high contrast webbing and stitch pattern for easy inspection.

CONNECTING TOOLS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DEE-RINGS AND TAPE
• Measure and cut a length of Tape allowing for eight wraps around the tool.
• Peel back a short length of the tapes protective backing film keeping it clean and dry.
• Make one complete wrap of the tool overlapping the tape onto itself.
• Place a Dee-Ring onto the Tool then wrap the tape through it and around the Tool, stretching the Tape tightly for another seven wraps.
• When at the end of the Tape, press it firmly onto itself to secure it.
• Pull lightly on the Dee-Ring to ensure that it is secure- do not remove the Tape once secure.
